Stress & Cancer - A Yoga Perspective

In this talk Mr. Manoj Kaimal will be highlighting the adverse effect cancer can have on the psyche of the patient , which can then negatively affect their posture and breathing patterns. This fundamentally lowers the vitality of what’s termed in yoga as the ‘energy body,’ a body of energy pathways and energy plexuses otherwise termed as the nadis and chakras.
Through the talk Manoj will explain how yoga can help patients regain control over their body, breath and thoughts , leading one to to a sense of peace and cheer, a balance of optimism and acceptance . He will take you through a short breathing and meditation session which can guide your brain waves towards alpha/theta levels; ideal states where brain and inner mind is receptive and responsive to healing suggestions and visualisations. Through assessing such tools of yoga, patients can create a more supportive inner environment, which can enhance the effectiveness of conventional treatment modalities as well.
