Deep in Louisiana, nestled among the ancient trees draped with Spanish moss, lies the Honey Island Swamp. The area known as Honey Island Swamp is about 33 minutes and 36 miles from the New Orleans French Quarter. The Honey Island Swamp is a popular area for tourists to take swamp tours where you might learn about some of the myths and legends of the swamp during the tour or you might even experience some things first hand! During tours of Honey Island Swamp it is nearly certain you will encounter alligators, snakes and plenty of other common wildlife. However there are rumors and legends of far more uncommon types of life in this swamp! This is a place of shadows and whispers, where the air is thick and heavy, and strange noises echo through the swamp. The Honey Island Swamp is a mysterious place, a place where the real and unreal blur, where legends are born. This is the legendary home of a creature which has become known as the Honey Island Swamp Monster.
