The Benefits of Hyperthermia Therapy
There are four main clinically proven benefits of Hyperthermia Therapy as an adjunct:
1st It ACTIVITATES IMMUNE CELLS when the temperature reaches between 38°C to 43°C.
2nd It directly causes NECROSIS OF THE CANCER CELLS at 42°C.
3rd It ENHANCES THE DRUG DELIVERY INTO TUMOURS, working as a Chemosensitizer.
4th It INCREASES TISSUE OXYGENATION working as a Radiosensitizer.
According to the three-year Clinical Study done on 60 Cancer Patients at UMMC by the lead investigator, Prof. Dr. Ho Gwo Fuang, there was significant improvement in the cancer patient’s immune system. Pain score in the patient had improved and the sensitivity towards radiation and chemotherapy was increased. It was found that palliative patients who had relied on Hyperthermia Therapy alone, also responded positively to the treatment.
