Our new being & essence - We no longer "try" we "do" by our new "nature"

I'm really been given cause now to dig deeper about just what being made perfect actually looks like. So it's in Christ we now have our very essence and being. I've been of the view for quite some time that we have 2 natures, a carnal and a spiritual nature both dwelling within us. I'm also seeing that when we repent, just as the entity is washed clean, thus being made Holy, so is our now “holy” spirit. This then also ties into this concept of how faith, which is our holy spirit, is perfect, but this spirit is not yet made perfect in us. So just as we are holy, but not yet perfect, nor is our faith (spirit) yet made perfect in our weakness. Jesus proves our faith in us, thus proving it to us

I'm now led to think that our new nature is a nature that is made up of an ever diminishing carnal aspect, but with an ever increasing spiritual aspect. Recent musing while on my walk have asked me to consider if our Holy spirit is our new nature or if our Holy spirit gives us that new nature.
