Even though Erika was a soldier song it became a common folk song after WW2 and has been interpreted by many German singers and the German Bundeswehr. Youtube however declared Erika one of the most struck traditional German songs for the reason “hatespeech”. Looking at the lyrics this is obviously ridiculous:
