A. I believe Revelation was authored by the Apostle John. There are several lines
of evidence in support of that view.
1. The author identifies himself simply as John, which suggests he was
well known to his readers. Reliable early church tradition places the Apostle John in
Ephesus at the end of his life. No other Christian named John would have been better
known to the churches of Asia Minor in the late first century. As Donald Guthrie asks,
"Was the Asiatic church overrun with brilliant Christians by the name of John, who
would only need to announce their name for the Christians to know which was meant?"
