Last time I showcased a custom black Sega Dreamcast shell that I wanted to use for my GDEMU modified console. In this video, I will take a look at the broken console I purchased, test it, tear it down, and move the contents into the black shell. The goal is to get the black shell completely filled with working components of a working Sega Dreamcast. Let's see how this goes!

In this episode, we'll play a bit of the first game I ever saw with a 3D accelerator. Although primitive today, the original Turok was pretty cool when it first came out. It was very quickly surpassed by games like Unreal, but it was still a treat when it was new.

I mention in this video that a remastered version was released, which I have since had a chance to play. It is pretty amazing! There is something charming about playing original games on original hardware, but the remake is also pretty badass.

Sometimes when you find a Sega Dreamcast at a thrift store or in a "broken console lot" the controller port doesn't work. This is often due to a blown resister fuse in the controller PCB that is easily fixable with a little elbow geese.

Thankfully, these components are still available for purchase and are a fraction of the cost of a new controller board.

This video will show you how to take the repair kit and fix the controller board of a Sega Dreamcast!

I got a very scratched up Nintendo 64 console that was in need of some love. I recorded myself performing the teardown and restore. I cleaned it up real good and used Mr Clean Magic Eraser to clean up the shell to get those ugly surface scratches out.

I came across an Original Xbox at a thrift store that was in pretty bad condition. After cleaning it up pretty good I realized that it wasn't able to read discs consistently. Sometimes it would start to read a game, and then just stop, but most of the time it did nothing. The disc would spin, but not read. I tried to clean the existing laser and adjust the voltage, but neither worked.

I realized that a new laser replacement was necessary! So, I went out to eBay and grabbed a replacement. Unfortunately, that listing is no longer available, however, I found another one here:

On September 19th 1991, 30 children were given the Miracle Piano Teaching System and told they were going to give a concert in one month...

28 years later I am posting a video on YouTube of me tearing down and cleaning one of these awesome blasts from the past.

I never had one of these when I was younger, and I never knew anyone that did. But I found this in a thrift store for a few dollars and since it had that glorious Nintendo logo on it I just couldn't pass up the chance to take it apart and see what made it tick.

The original audio track is a piano and string ditty I composed called "I Can't Do This On My Own".

In this episode of Gaming Therapy, we will open a SEALED copy of the first edition of VR Baseball. I've had this in my big box collection for a while, but haven't opened it until now.

Most of the show is the unboxing, and the challenge getting the game up and running. One thing that sucked was that after I opened a sealed game, OBS didn't capture the sound of the gameplay!!! Oh, man that sucked. Since I had gone through the effort of opening the game, I did a reshoot. Sadly, only a few people will actually watch this and appreciate all the pain I went through. But it's OK!! It made me feel better.

One thing that is super cool is that there is a game trailer during the installer for a Star Trek game that was heavily promoted, but never released. Pretty awesome!

I found this amazing retro 1995 era PC for $20 "as-is". I couldn't pass it up. So, I grabbed it, and recorded myself doing a teardown, cleanup, and restore. All it needed was a nice cleaning. I was able to find a Packard Bell restore CD online to put her back into her original factory configuration.

This machine also came with a monitor (missing it's stand, but that's OK) and a few other peripherals that I will work on perhaps later.
